today has been a really busy day. only midway through my day though it is already almost 5.. >.<

had lect and pract. pract was fun! we goofed up so many times. too many girls spoil the tea. wad do i mean by that? we were supposed to do caffeine extraction from tie guan ying and while we were boiling the tea leaves, we walked away and it kinda overflowed into the reflux. .>.< causing the tea leaves to be stuck there. HAHAH! then as we were trying to separate the organic layer and inorganic layer using the separating funnel, as usual, ppl arent used to how the taps work and opened the tap again. 0.o like open -close - open. if u can just imagine la. :) it was quite funny considering how we kept taking new funnels cos of the contamination..

and if u thought that was all.. nope! we were supposed to determine the boiling pt of the crude caffeine [yes we actually managed to get a rather good yield!] we werent paying attn and it melted without us knowing. actually i told them to keep an eye but they din. haha oh well just redid it again lor. hehe.

so yes we ended at 4.. omg normally we end at 230? lessons officially end at 330 though. then while we were clearing up, we kinda messed up the fume cupboard by spilling water and powder and other stuff. and BOY is the fume cupboard dirty! the layer of dust on it is remarkable! now i think our fc is the cleanest lor! the tissue turned black!

now back in hall trying to rest b4 mktg later. its a long long long day. labs tmr and wed too. argh.
