havent updated in a rather long time. like a proper post. thats like over 2 weeks ago i think. whoops!

anyway, 2007 is coming to an end but its not time for the usual post as yet so just hang on till i actually get around to writing that rather long and thoughtful post.

this weeks been rather bz though now that i think back, i can't rmb what i've been bz with. oh rite. korean drama! hahaha! 60 hrs of my life is going to just vanish just because i've plonked myself down in front of the box just watching the song of the prince aka seodongyo aka shu3 tong2 yao2 (yam boy song). its rather dachangjin-ish since its by the same producers but i'm not really complaining. 20 cds in all. down to the last 6! and mind you, they are dvds so thats bout 3hrs and tada! you arrive at 60 hrs!

boy my math is good. wahaha.

had class outing on sunday which i went late as i couldnt wake up in time to reach ecp at 10. ok i stirred to msg big boss that i'm going to meet them after lunch so i kinda woke up but fell straight back to sleep. met @mi at parkway b4 going over to macs to look for them. found yf, bri@n nguy3n, @sik, how@n, der3n, jingyu@n. almost killed them when someone suggested going back to parkway. thank god they didn't and we so kindly spared their lives. headed down to k@tong shopping centre to p00l. @mi's not too bad for someone who doesn't really know how to play. :) as for me, its more like just try and hit in as many as possible but it takes loads of luck and deep concentration to apply the physics in it. der3n and yf left before dinner but our dear jessi3 foo joined us! yay!! :) thanks girl for your christmas card! so sweet of you..

ate LJS at TM b4 they decided to come to my house to play mahjong. plus stayover. wahaha! so it was big boss aka jy, hw and @mi. whoa all of them have an A in their names! played mahjong, piano, com, ps2 etc. stayed up till bout 4am b4 @mi and i couldn't take it anymore. so we all went to sleep and guess wad? the guys couldnt wake up lor! they only woke up cos we drew the curtains back and it was alr 11+am. so we headed down to eastpoint after breakfast (at like 12..?) for lunch! walked around eastpoint and jy concluded that its sadder than AMK hub. wahah! oh well, guess it only serves our basic needs. :P

Paul Keeley, a consultant in the department of palliative medicine at Glasgow Royal Infirmary in Scotland wrote to the weekly British Medical Journal a sample of new words that British doctors use among themselves.

They include:

Disco biscuits: The clubbers' drug ecstasy. As in: "The man in cubicle three looks like he's taken one too many disco biscuits.''

Hasselhoff: Term for any patient who shows up in the emergency room with an injury for which there is a bizarre explanation. Source: Baywatch actor David Hasselhoff, who hit his head on a chandelier while shaving. The broken glass severed four tendons and and an artery in his right arm.

Agnostication: A substitute for prognostication. Term used to the describe the usually vain attempt to answer the question: "How long have I got, doc?''

Blamestorming: Apportioning of blame after the wrong leg or kidney is removed or some other particularly egregious foul-up happens.

404 moment: The point in a doctor's ward round when medical records cannot be located. Comes from internet error message, "404 - document not found.''

Testiculation: Description of a gesture typically used by hospital consultant "when holding forth on subject on which he or she has little knowledge". Gesture is of an upturned hand with outstretched fingers pointed upwards, clutching an invisible pair of testicles.

Other slang used by doctors, according to past letters to the BMJ, include UBI (for "Unexplained Beer Injury''), PAFO ("Pissed And Fell Over'') and Code Brown, or a faecal incontinence emergency.

CTD means "Circling The Drain'', GPO signifies "Good for Parts Only'' and "Rule of Five'' means that if more than five of the patient's orifices are obscured by tubing, he has no chance.

A patient who is "giving the O-sign'' is very sick, lying with his mouth open. This is followed by the "Q-sign'' - when the tongue hangs out of the mouth - when the patient becomes terminal.

i just love the nights. so quiet, cool and peaceful. with no one around to bother me. its a good time for reflection and sorting out messed up thoughts. :) the mornings just have too much light which spoils the whole atmosphere.

was just thinking bout time the other day. it seems that time is just something relative. daylight saving and stuff. like who's the one who says that today is monday, tomorrow is tues etc? i mean, i can just say that tomorrow is sunday and not tuesday and if everyone followed suit, would we have just moved ahead in time, and skipped tues - sat?

like how its 13hrs behind in ontario and how someone might be just started the day while you're already ending it. how we just adjusted our time by 30min so as to make things easier for us between msia and stuff. so time is indeed a very relative thing.

swimming again later! :) i realised i'll be swimming like a minimum of 2x a week.. but they happen to be two consecutive days of friday and saturday. that's if my bro doesn't play badminton on monday. if not it will be three times! and if we decide to go play somewhere else, maybe even more!

anyway, my uncle and family just came back from china and they bought loads of stuff for me! ok we actually asked them to help us buy boots and leggings but they ended up buying more!

and i think i'm going to have to tuition my little cousin math. p6 next yr. shouldnt be a problem provided she has a LONGER attention span. we'll see how it goes. must wait for her to buy books first. how can anyone not score in math? i mean that kind of math is easy! A level/uni math is the difficult one.. ><

anyway my mum and aunt would be going to tassie with me! yayness! mum will leave after bout a week but my aunt is thinking of staying longer to look after me. wahahaha! 75 more days to go!

yay its 20 laps today! wasnt really bent on swimming a lot too since the wave pool, slides and lazy river were beckoning.. :)

but the downside is that we ate KFC after that! like OMG everything's down the drain!!! ><

seriously the most i've ever gone is 20? but i guess after the 20th lap its just keeping up the momentum. no more horrible struggles of getting through the laps and stuff. just kick off and swim till the other end and back and its already 2 laps! would have continued till maybe 50 if not for the fact that the pool was closing at 930 and it was already 9 and i had to wash up.

read that if you swim, you actually tend to put on weight because the cool water lowers your body temp so much that you actually end up hungry and eat more! soo.. in order not for me to gorge myself thereafter, i ate an apple! yay! gives me my fibre and vits and fills me up too.. though that swiss roll in the other bag was rather tempting.. ok it was VERY tempting but hey i managed to resist the urge of munching on that sugar-laden piece of confectionery. =D

bro wants to swim today because yest he played badminton while i swam so if the weather permits, maybe i shall!

right but then i'm once again reminded by the fact that i couldnt sleep well last night because my shoulder was mildly aching and i couldnt sleep in my usual position of my arm under my head! >< had to sleep in anatomical position.. HAHAHA! nvm i shall go swimming and ache more tmr.

so its a sunday already. the week just zooms past in a flash. soon everyone would have finished their exams and it will be play time! :)

just preparing notes on biochem and physio rite now since i really have nothing to do at the moment which should be a wonderful thing but i think time is really wasted in my hands. if only i could give it away or store time till a later date. nothing beats saving for a rainy day!

i really hope it will stop raining so frequently. though i love the rain but it makes me feel very lazy. :( as if im not lazy enough alr. argh.

i wanna swim swim swim! monday? argh lets just hope it doesnt rain and i can wake up early in the morning. wahahahha!

sleepy now. went to jurong point and bought some dresses/shirts/pants for formal dinners and clinicals. just love this fashion. its like soo nice and easy to buy stuff because they are affordable and i can try and try and try and no one will say a thing. at least not aloud. :P but yeah you get the idea. summore its nov means i get 20% discount since its my bdae mth! being a member has its perks i guess.. wahahaha!

i just realised its less than 100 days till i fly off. about 96 days left according to my facebook countdown. time's really ticking by and i haven seem to have accomplished anything this year. this year has just gone by in a flash. its already near my birthday. 1 yr ago, we were having our A levels right now, mugging hard at our books, forgetting wads day and wads night. it was chem mcq. 3 years ago, we were mugging hard for O levels. it was geog and physics. 7 years ago, my birthday was the last day of school. i still rmb when i was so happy my age finally had 2 digits. and now that decade has almost gone by. isnt it just so surreal when you look back and you realise that everyone around you has aged, grown older, matured, settled down etc?

life's ever-changing. sometimes i hope i can rmb my earlier memories but i cant. cant really rmb anything before p4. which is a real pity i think. all my memories from then have been inputted by friends of mine. its only after they tell me that i vaguely recall such an incident though some really slip by mind totally. i do not rmb my kindergarten friends at all except nat and pei han (i think). i can rmb some of my p1-2 classmates but not the events that happened. generally i get the idea but not specific events that happened btwn others and i.

its amazing how when you finally manage to link up with long lost friends that you realise how far we've come today. since the days in kindergarten, who would have thought that we would become doctors, engineers, business people, lawyers etc. no one would have guessed this much. life's just insane. hopefully when i look back when im old and stuff, i can still rmb the things that happened to me. i dont want to lose my memory. at least let them be somewhere at the back of my mind and not totally erased. let there be something i can relate to my grandchildren in future.

second last day here. now in my room waiting for 104 tut later. i'll def miss this place a lot. esp my room! my frenz!

time really flies even when u're enjoying yourself. these past 4 mths have been wonderful.. with its own ups and downs but hey.. we've survived sem 1 tgt! :)

the first time i moved into my room, i had this huge box of stuff.. really huge.. cant believe i actually brought so much to hall.. hahaha.. its my home.. spend more time here than at home.. the times i've spent doing hw at the table, eating at the tabele, snoring at the table.. the toilet auntie who washes the toilet at like 930 and causes me to not be able to use it when i wake up on thursday at 930..

the weekly clothes washings on tues/wed because of the long break after the labs ended.. the nights in the study room.. the clan dinners and stuff.. just chilling out in someone else's room like xu3min, youxi@ng.. (oh gosh it thinks its an email add!) the long marketing hours we spent tgt.. the tears (not literally) we shared as we pulled through and achieved A/A+ for our journal and plan.. :) we really just rock too much..

today's been a wonderful day.

no lab! :)

ate horfun from can 9 which wasnt too bad surprisingly. yup then studied econs did econs tut 10 and stuff.

dinner was cup noodles cos it was raining and i grew roots. HAHAHA. shall munch/drink milk later or sth if im hungry.

headache now. no lab tmr so thats another nice thing!

i suddenly crave waffles. noooo. i dont want to walk to can 2!

good weather to sleep. *sneeze*

i really sneezed after i typed that. ugh.

on another note, yuq-in has already left hall. and she's gonna quit school to work in a dental clinic once she secures that job. so cool la. i really wonder why im still here sometimes. its like i'm trying my best to study all these stuff but then its obvious that its not going to be useful anw. i mean like the biochem is very different from the med biochem where you'll learn all the pathways and stuff. my biochem is like (&#% seriously. talking bout exams. wads the incentive in studying if my grades arent gonna be counted anw. ok i know i should just take it and then see where i stand but then if i dont really put in my all to study, then why bother? cos the grades would just not be reflective of my capabilities. then you'll say "just put in your best!" isnt that giving myself extra stress? like im not gonna have enough stress for the next 5 years. its gonna be hell and everyone says i should just take a break while i still can cos the word "BREAK" is not going to be in my vocab anymore once i start school. break = revision, break = CME, break = other horrendous stuff. haha!

the other reason why i should continue studying is so that i can maintain the momentum. uhhuh. but im still gonna break for 3 mths...! dec/jan/feb! so doesnt that kinda defeat the purpose?

i rather study my med books than study all these notes that barely make any sense. seriously, the tuto-rs are mostly gr@d stud3nts and they dont really clarify our doubts. we confuse them more and they feed us with incorrect info. wth.

oh yes. their accents are the best. seriously.

its monday again. just had beeass 101 [haha! beeass. like they have like that] lecture. now eating lunch and studying campbell.. org ch3m quiz later at 330 then mktg presentation at 6.. >.< at least im just doing the intro so im happy! nothing much to say except to intro china.. muahahax!

today has been a really busy day. only midway through my day though it is already almost 5.. >.<

had lect and pract. pract was fun! we goofed up so many times. too many girls spoil the tea. wad do i mean by that? we were supposed to do caffeine extraction from tie guan ying and while we were boiling the tea leaves, we walked away and it kinda overflowed into the reflux. .>.< causing the tea leaves to be stuck there. HAHAH! then as we were trying to separate the organic layer and inorganic layer using the separating funnel, as usual, ppl arent used to how the taps work and opened the tap again. 0.o like open -close - open. if u can just imagine la. :) it was quite funny considering how we kept taking new funnels cos of the contamination..

and if u thought that was all.. nope! we were supposed to determine the boiling pt of the crude caffeine [yes we actually managed to get a rather good yield!] we werent paying attn and it melted without us knowing. actually i told them to keep an eye but they din. haha oh well just redid it again lor. hehe.

so yes we ended at 4.. omg normally we end at 230? lessons officially end at 330 though. then while we were clearing up, we kinda messed up the fume cupboard by spilling water and powder and other stuff. and BOY is the fume cupboard dirty! the layer of dust on it is remarkable! now i think our fc is the cleanest lor! the tissue turned black!

now back in hall trying to rest b4 mktg later. its a long long long day. labs tmr and wed too. argh.

went down to bras basah to buy books. bought netters, snell and guyton. :) so fun! i miss netters. hahaha all the pretty pictures and such. havent started reading them yet though. think i shall just start with physio. it seems to be the most logical of all now since anat is just like knowing the parts, relations etc.

then went down to the le-gends for greatgranny's bdae. was nice to see everyone again but the food was real slow. almost fell asleep waiting for it. HAHA. luckily i was rather full at the end of it. thought i wouldnt be full la! the servings werent very big unfortunately and i really preferred last yr's venue at kepp3l club! plus the food was rather memorable - 'sco-tch brite' tofu with seaweed and pigeon soup!

i wish i went for conn3ct dinner. :(

went to jb for shopping. bought 2 beanies and 2 pairs of jeans. one of which cost me RM15! :) im a happy girl! hahaha! beanies were at RM10 each. had kfc for lunch. still prefer arnolds unfortunately. :) even my coleslaw is much nicer than theirs!! hehe! dinner was good! had pai gu wang, cereal crayfish, veggie, hotplate tofu, yam basket and stingray!! omgomgomg. ok i know i also eat this in singapore but for RM130+ split into two cos two families its like bout RM70 per family which is less than S$35! :) yay!

and the week's just started. suppose to have organic chem quiz next wk. shall just study a little. read physio a little. do a little tutorials. and of cos do my wonderful mkt-g! project mtg tmr. mktg just takes up too much time. seriously.

dnd was yesterday nite!

was quite cool actually.. guys were all synchronised in their dressing except a-lan who wore jeans.. hahaha! jer-emy was uber cool in his hat and red tie.. ;) everyone looked great la basically.. we were the best dressed clan ok? guys in blazers and girls in dresses.. hahaha!

met at city hall 540.. was a little late but still the earlier fews.. >.< seems like the trend doesnt change even though we're in uni now.. anw.. went to buy flowers.. bought hippos and flowers for the three of them.. nice nice nice! bought subway to 'chong ji' while waiting for the others.. shared 2 2-footers i think.. plus the cookies and drinks etc

went to chi-jmes after that.. up-per club.. quite a nice place albeit a little small la.. settled down, took pics and chatted.. :) joan-ne and i started talking bout normal stuff and it was rather interesting to learn of each others opinions on certain issues.. haha..

dinner was not bad la.. enough food so thats good.. hahaha..

performances were ok i guess.. somehow we agreed that the salsa moves were a little stiff but they they tried their best!! we have to give it to them for the effort they put into it.. yupx! catwalks etc was good.. games were a little lame but xu-emin and j3remy were damn enthu.. so thats good.. especially j3remy!! but thats cos they could see through the blindfolds anw.. sh3ngji3 and d4wn were bit shy.. aww..

biostats today was rather thought-provoking for me.

not the lecture itself but rather what the lecturer said bout doing medicine. he taught at nus med for 27 yrs b4 starting sbs.. so yeah.. anw..

1. do not waste your time at sbs if you really want to do med. go overseas.
2. whats so cool bout hanging a steth round your neck.
3. its really competitive. there are so many clinics in the same neighbourhood
4. no life [his student worked from 9am-12mn]
5. research scientists are the ones behind all the discoveries.. doctors just apply them.
6. research n drug discovery in tcm is very hot. got an edge over the 'angmos' because we learnt tcm.

seriously. i dont think i want a doctor's life anymore. i think being a RS is better. you can go in as and when you like, do the things you love too, get grants etc. isn't that the life i like? :) besides i've wanted to be a researcher longer than i've wanted to be a doctor. seriously.

yay back from hal-l ca-mp! so tired..

Day 1:
started at 10. basically just sat with people in our blk b4 they sorted us into our individual clans. (kinda like the sorting hat) they announced your name then u would proceed to the respective corners.. hahaha. played blow wind blow and other games like 'kiaping' peanuts onto poor de-rek's face..! painted clan banner in the afternoon.. was the i/c and i think our banner turned out not bad actually.. :) then we had some campus walk at night with games.. had to climb up the slippery slope with the guys as support, make the longest chain of items, play twister ntu style, use our hands to move as a caterpillar and eat the food at the various stop points (freaking tiring la! by now it was almost 1130) went back to hall for supper and then bathed and slept.

Day 2:
had some talks and games in the morning. nothing interesting there i think. pool games in the afternoon which were quite fun apart from the drinking water underwater thing. i think they ended up drinking more pool water than NEWater. >.< anw we went back to change and clean up and get ready for dinner. had initiation night. they blindfolded us and made us walk through all the blocks doing funny stuff. had toothpaste, paint, flour, soy sauce, leaves, chili sauce, water etc poured/smeared all over.. then had to hold the broom and sing national anthem and say pledge etc.. now that its over, its rather funny! had to slide down the mud slide too! omg damn damn damn damn fun!!! was like whooshhhhh! then ended with the mattresses to cushion.. :)

Day 3:
Had field games. mud mud mud. played dodgeball, three-legged soccer, spin around-get food from soapy water-throw into bucket, leopard crawl, hamburger and finally laser challenge!!!! my team went all the way to the finals only to lose to 'AXE' clan.. who cheated by resetting the guns. argh. wth la. but who cares we played clean and we had fun! but it really touched me to see that the seniors were feeling the injustice and bigbear telling us its ok.. i really really really love the seniors a lot.. feels so much like family.. after that we had dinner and moved over to changi where we had fright night. basically we just had to walk through old changi hospital at night. but we went in a group of 8 so it was not very scary. it was quite funny when the seniors dropped stuff whenever we walked by cos we were lost so we walked by a few times then it just kept dropping.. HAHAHAH! but jason had to come and lead us out cos we really couldnt find the lightstick..

Day 4:
went dragonboating!! damn fun! but very very xiong.. we got second i think.. yayness! then we cheonged down to chinatown only to find out that the programme is screwed up. oh well its ok.. but we were damn tired. played shi zi lu kou for lunch but it was really lame. just had to start with something that begins with our clan letter which is K.. so we use kay tiao soup or sth liddat la.. me-l ate A LOT! the hungry guys bought more food and as usual, we koped their food la.. so we ate like hokkein mee, popiah, sushi chee cheong fun with pork floss, carrot cake, duck rice, ice kachang, duck noodle, nasi padang, mee pok etc.. yeahh then we proceeded to the next station where we had to find ppl to take photos with.. then last station was to play chapteh.. -.- guys played while the girls rested.. almost died cos sooo tired liao.. after that we took bus 2 back to changi to get ready for SP night. my SP was cho-ng be-ng.. nice guy who lives in my blk and i alr knew him b4 the game.. then a bit paiseh to give him my present cos i bought boxers! hahahaha! anw we were just sitting there telling lame /racist/cold jokes and gushing over the guitarist and drummer of the jam band.. HAHAH.. who both live in my blk too i think.. i know the drummer does but not sure bout the guitarist.. went back.. changed and slept..

Day 5:
went back to ntu in the morning. planned our skit and then had to attend the time capsule ceremony in the afternoon. so thats how we burnt our afternoon. basically ha-ll 8 is alr 10 yrs old and they buried a time capsule 10 yrs ago so they opened it that day.. :) had reception aka lunch which i think was even nicer than the vip's hargao and siewmais.. hahaha! after that we had amazing race.. started at lavender to borders to cine to hotel pheonix to forum to taka to donut factory to marina sq to esplanade library to fountain of wealth to st andrews cathedral to boat quay to paradiz to fort canning to far east.. yeah fun sia! pq and amelia saw me running around town.. >.< bet i looked dumb.. anw we came in first!! yay yay yay! ate dinner at bout 10+.. ate old chang kee stuff along the way which was meant to be tea actually.. thanks seniors for being our food and water boys and girls! and we tot it was the end until we went back to changi to find out that we had to eat mealworms! live ones mind you! ours were small la.. just put in and crunch then swallow then drink water! the seniors ones were like FAT JUICY ones.. :S YUCKS!

Day 6:
sentosa! played beach games in the morning.. we won every game except the last one which we had to form and arc then crawl though, burst balloon then walk together with our feets tied together.. then we had lunch and rehearsed our skit a little.. after lunch, the torture began.. we started from the start of siloso beach where the guys had to build a raft and swim to the opposite side and retrieve a flag.. p clan and k clan buddied up and we won x and a clan.. then we rushed to the second station where our clan was the LAST.. cos we had to place a cup filled with water and then with that on the tray, we had to rotate our arms like 360 degrees without dropping the cup.. anw we rushed to make up for lost time and then we were second to leave the 3rd station which was the sandwich making with the various bodyparts passing the food items.. poor vin-ce had to take a bite outa that sandy sandwich (HAHA SAND-wich) cos we kept dropping the items onto the sand.. >.< 4th station we had to fill up a bucket with water using only our tees and mouths etc.. think we were first.. then A clan went the wrong way.. (btw we're at palawan now) we then cheonged to tanjong where they played the arc and then the find the stuff in the sand.. we were the fastest cos we were alr the first then we ran back to palawan to get to the bridge! reached there first! YAY YAY YAY! we won the finale! our sister clan Az-riel came in second.. :) after that we went to clean up and ate dinner.

campfire started at bout 9.. watched videos, the paegent nominees, sang songs, danced around the campfire etc.. quite fun.. performed our skits then we had our cheer fight! apparently we were the loudest and our skit was the funniest but then we cannot win all the prizes rite? :P so we won best clan aka champions (btw we were last for the pool and field games) apparently its like a tradition of k clan.. it happens every yr.. we cheong from the bottom to the top! :) anw we ate up our prize while waiting for the bus to pick us up at 230.. sang songs and we talked bout ourselves and stuff.. :) i love my clan.. slept at 3..

mum came to pick me up at 7+ on sunday.. damn tired la! brought all the stinky dirty clothes home and then i continued to sleep till bout 12? yeahh im THAT tired..

so now its monday and im in my room.. my roomie hasnt moved in yet so i've got a single deluxe room for now..! yippee! so shiok! today's lecture was rather dumb and meaningless.. i paid attention ok! but it was mostly revision and nothing much.. tmr's gonna be organic chem i think on atoms and molecules.. they said the lecturer for tmr is very good.. thats good..

hall bash tonight! cool! hehehe!! :) so i shall go grab some sleep first b4 i go.. nitex!

ok i have finally decided to update something substantial.

chanced upon a fellow STO-MPer who's an ano.. guy too.. rather incredible to see pics of his food.. days in the ward etc.. wonder what seriously drives people to be ano.. the need to be skinny? the ideal shape everyone yearns for?

but in my opinion.. if anyone wants an ED.. i think being ano is better than being bulimic. like seriously. at least when u're being ano, u're just not eating and exercising a hell lot. but being bulimic means youre eating, yet you're gonna barf the entire meal out! firstly, thats a waste of food. secondly, i think it harms too cos of the refluxed acid blah blah blah. corrodes your teeth!!

anw.. i just eat too much. HEHEH. honestly. im G-R-E-E-D-Y! >.< im ok at breakfast. eat alrite for lunch [though it can be a little over-indulgent like murtabak at times] dinner's just a disaster! i mean ok i cut down on rice, eat more dishes and then someone runs out of the kitchen with ice cream! HAHAHA woohoo!! *celebrates*

keeps raining now that i just dont feel like going to the pool though i kinda convinced myself i would go. so i guess i'll just stick to salsa.

speaking of that. did i tell you that there was this superrr good guy who popped by last lesson!! omgomgomg heard raymond say he's some champ. hehe! though im not sure if raymond was sure what he was talking bout.. din hear properly anw.. jaz tot he was my bf.. haha if only i had a bf and what's more a bf who can dance! HAHAH! danced with him for a while b4 the teacher changed partners cos while we were 'enjoying' ourselves, the other newbie pair was kinda screwed up so yeah we had to go lead one each.. hahaha.. hope he pops by again! then at least each of us will have a partner cos obviously there will be less guys.. there are already 2 ladies pretending to be guys.. >.<

anw amazing race on friday was quite fun. it rained and we all did silly unspeakable things too! hahaha! went from rg to marina sq to youthpark to fort canning and then to marina bay. went back to school for dinner. learnt many things bout the people there through the dinner game.. hiak hiak hiak.. some OCD that were rather 0.o yeah

its monday and its getting a little boring. been driving around, basically from home to granny's, home to RI, home to office etc. getting the hang of it though my car still tends to keep rather left. somehow i just have a phobia of having cars zoom past my right, its as if they will slam into me anytime!

btw i can collect my photocard license tmr! :) they came today but cos its registered and no one was at home so shall go down tmr. hope its nice!

went for y-ee sharing on sat. was great meeting up with everyone and as usual, our group was the most high among everyone, partly because we had the largest group. 8 turned up cos 1's in NS. it was FREEZING so i wore xi-aomi-ng's jacket. too big for me but better than nothing. :) rebe-cca from run 7 was :S and xm was there to shut her up. rather amusing and we all had a good laugh. hahaha!

hopefully the higher ups will meet with us soon. its either now or next yr considering that prelims are in 6 weeks and As in 12.. a yr and passed and i havent accomplished much. oh well.

sun was spent with cousins. bullied as usual. thats for being the eldest. :( btw van-ya and yi-ngying are keeping their hair longlonglong cos they wanna donate it to make wigs for needy children! soo meaningful! better than shaving botak like they do here.

i realised how ex it is to make a wig.. can range from 1300-3000.. would be great if we can start something like this here. just that we do not have the capital as students rite now to do sth like that. unless we partner with other companies. or even do sth like "three wishes" its just so touching that i cry when i watch.. >.< despite living in singapore, i think there are many out there [local or overseas] who still require our help so let's do our part to help them! YAY!

3. collect unwanted pen and paper and send them to less developed countries to help the children

saw vianne as i was walking down the stairs to the foyer and her out of the library.. couldnt catch wad she was saying though she was ecstatic to see me! sometimes i dont feel very teacher-like but more like going back to see friends and stuff like this.. yeah..

there was this sec 4 girl who came up to me and asked me to give her tuition.. of cos she was one of the students i taught la.. not that random as it sounds.. haha.. she looks a little like angela [art club snr] too bad school's starting and im staying hostel.. thing is.. i tot i heard her ask me to tutor her BIO! like HUH! how does she know that i even took bio?! anw yes it kinda made my day to hear someone actually understanding and liking wad i taught. hehe.

so back to slacking. kakuro is fun but only when i have the hints. :(

was quite fun la.. think fastest speed was like 80km/h.. hehe not bad for someone who was crawling at 40-50 only yesterday.. XD

after that went home [i drove again!] and followed parents to office so that i can try going up the multistorey.. scary! seriously i dont think the crank course was much use.. so different.. ok maybe for tighter ones you really have to turn like siao like the crank course.. i dunno.. :P we'll see..

and i dont like my feet! omg they seriously cant fit into any pair of closed toe shoes..! ok they fit but then i cant walk. my baby toe [poor thing!] will start to hurt like mad and i think its cos im too used to wearing crocs.. i wear them ALMOST everywhere.. so far the only pair that i can wear would be the URS shoes that i've totally worn out.. guess i just need time to squish my toes tgt and everything will be fine!

my feet are alrite in open-toed. in fact there are quite nice i think. >.< but argh closed toed are badddd!

my tester was really nice.. we chatted along the way and that really made me relax.. secondly he cut short my test too! i didnt do vertical parking and i didnt do u-turn too! everything was like really short.. :) even shorter than dani-al's route 5.. i got 7 which wasnt too bad.. u-turn was at the one b4 the macs u-turn.. but he asked me to turn left into st 61 so yay!

just take route 5 and use ur finger to cover up that entire u-turn path and thats my route! :)

oh yes. i started salsa classes. like 0.o. i know i know.. hahahah! was on impulse.. and it just happened that the class started on the day that i happened to be down at the cc.. muahahahx so i guess its was good! but now it means that i would have to come back from hostel every thursday for my lesson at730.. so ok la.. ill just have to either sleep at home and rush down the next day for lessons or rush down after it to go back to hostel.. hahaha.. nvm its just gonna be for 1 mth cos the course ends in early sept.. yupx!!

overall it wasnt too bad.. rather interesting experience.. yeah.. gosh im damn tired now..

so its father's day today.. not rather significant apart from the fact that i actually attempted to make a rather successful oreo cheesecake last nite despite the various hiccups.. XD


1) forgot to buy whipped cream
2) poured sugar into container but forgot to take the spoon out first so now the spoon is buried rite at the bottom of the container

that was even before i started baking but i went down to buy the whipped cream and SP later on so that was fine.. then i started.

3) mum said to whisk using hand so yeah i tried to do that.. but cmon i was making a sponge cake.. how airy can the mixture be with hand?!?!!? so yeah the cake was yummy but heavy. who cares.
4) supposed to whisk whipped cream till creamy.. hahahha cos its originally liquid like milk.. tried whisking by HAND. oh god. luckily mum came back in time to find the machine.
5) tot thats the end? nope.. i overwhisked. >.< became watery again though i had some 'cream' left so like heck la just use.. HAHAHAHAH!!
6) unfortunately, it wasnt the end of the whipped cream episode! while i was trying to dish out the whipped cream in my anger.. i accidentally spilled the liquid cream thingie into the cheese as well as onto the table! so worried that it wouldnt set with all that extra liquid. luckily it did.
7) beat cream cheese with a paddle till creamy. hmm mine was creamy. it was kinda lumpy. hahah but it kinda sorted itself out when i added the gelatine and egg yolk mixture.. still lumpy but who can taste it unless you really go feel the texture when you eat.. ;)

so up till now its alr bout 10pm.. then i finished up the cake and popped it into the fridge. oh yes the sponge cake was the base. heheh. had the cake for breakfast. quite nice. hehe next time try something else. and USE THE MACHINE!

so that was yest nite.. went to BTNR with ruth in the morning.. the NP ppl would make it so we walked around, played at the playground, climbed up the steep hill then headed downtown. went to eat carls jnr for the first time [for me la! i know i know..] then saw the spon-gebob roadshow at PS. OMG SPON-GEBOB WAS CHINESE!! and i tot having an an-gmo one was bad enough.. hahaha! ruth took a pic so we shall see!

went down to z-ouk G-E ra-id party.. cosp-layers were really cool and pretty.. btw ruth i think they prob work for F-HM.. hahahaha!! took some pics with us playing with the sword.. nicenice! upload k? :) after that we redeem our free coke and almost died drinking it. not from poisoning la but rather from bloatedness. went back after that. took 5 all the way home while ruth got off at scotts. i really really really slept all the way. damn tired la..

went shopping today at OG. din buy anything. wanted to buy shoes again cos the previous pair hurt a little. stupid right foot a little bigger than left foot. :S so yeah its shoe shopping again.. din have my size unfortunately but i did buy a 1gb micro sd for my phone! :) yayness to that!
