biostats today was rather thought-provoking for me.
not the lecture itself but rather what the lecturer said bout doing medicine. he taught at nus med for 27 yrs b4 starting sbs.. so yeah.. anw..
1. do not waste your time at sbs if you really want to do med. go overseas.
2. whats so cool bout hanging a steth round your neck.
3. its really competitive. there are so many clinics in the same neighbourhood
4. no life [his student worked from 9am-12mn]
5. research scientists are the ones behind all the discoveries.. doctors just apply them.
6. research n drug discovery in tcm is very hot. got an edge over the 'angmos' because we learnt tcm.
seriously. i dont think i want a doctor's life anymore. i think being a RS is better. you can go in as and when you like, do the things you love too, get grants etc. isn't that the life i like? :) besides i've wanted to be a researcher longer than i've wanted to be a doctor. seriously.

yay back from hal-l ca-mp! so tired..
Day 1:
started at 10. basically just sat with people in our blk b4 they sorted us into our individual clans. (kinda like the sorting hat) they announced your name then u would proceed to the respective corners.. hahaha. played blow wind blow and other games like 'kiaping' peanuts onto poor de-rek's face..! painted clan banner in the afternoon.. was the i/c and i think our banner turned out not bad actually.. :) then we had some campus walk at night with games.. had to climb up the slippery slope with the guys as support, make the longest chain of items, play twister ntu style, use our hands to move as a caterpillar and eat the food at the various stop points (freaking tiring la! by now it was almost 1130) went back to hall for supper and then bathed and slept.
Day 2:
had some talks and games in the morning. nothing interesting there i think. pool games in the afternoon which were quite fun apart from the drinking water underwater thing. i think they ended up drinking more pool water than NEWater. >.< anw we went back to change and clean up and get ready for dinner. had initiation night. they blindfolded us and made us walk through all the blocks doing funny stuff. had toothpaste, paint, flour, soy sauce, leaves, chili sauce, water etc poured/smeared all over.. then had to hold the broom and sing national anthem and say pledge etc.. now that its over, its rather funny! had to slide down the mud slide too! omg damn damn damn damn fun!!! was like whooshhhhh! then ended with the mattresses to cushion.. :)
Day 3:
Had field games. mud mud mud. played dodgeball, three-legged soccer, spin around-get food from soapy water-throw into bucket, leopard crawl, hamburger and finally laser challenge!!!! my team went all the way to the finals only to lose to 'AXE' clan.. who cheated by resetting the guns. argh. wth la. but who cares we played clean and we had fun! but it really touched me to see that the seniors were feeling the injustice and bigbear telling us its ok.. i really really really love the seniors a lot.. feels so much like family.. after that we had dinner and moved over to changi where we had fright night. basically we just had to walk through old changi hospital at night. but we went in a group of 8 so it was not very scary. it was quite funny when the seniors dropped stuff whenever we walked by cos we were lost so we walked by a few times then it just kept dropping.. HAHAHAH! but jason had to come and lead us out cos we really couldnt find the lightstick..
Day 4:
went dragonboating!! damn fun! but very very xiong.. we got second i think.. yayness! then we cheonged down to chinatown only to find out that the programme is screwed up. oh well its ok.. but we were damn tired. played shi zi lu kou for lunch but it was really lame. just had to start with something that begins with our clan letter which is K.. so we use kay tiao soup or sth liddat la.. me-l ate A LOT! the hungry guys bought more food and as usual, we koped their food la.. so we ate like hokkein mee, popiah, sushi chee cheong fun with pork floss, carrot cake, duck rice, ice kachang, duck noodle, nasi padang, mee pok etc.. yeahh then we proceeded to the next station where we had to find ppl to take photos with.. then last station was to play chapteh.. -.- guys played while the girls rested.. almost died cos sooo tired liao.. after that we took bus 2 back to changi to get ready for SP night. my SP was cho-ng be-ng.. nice guy who lives in my blk and i alr knew him b4 the game.. then a bit paiseh to give him my present cos i bought boxers! hahahaha! anw we were just sitting there telling lame /racist/cold jokes and gushing over the guitarist and drummer of the jam band.. HAHAH.. who both live in my blk too i think.. i know the drummer does but not sure bout the guitarist.. went back.. changed and slept..
Day 5:
went back to ntu in the morning. planned our skit and then had to attend the time capsule ceremony in the afternoon. so thats how we burnt our afternoon. basically ha-ll 8 is alr 10 yrs old and they buried a time capsule 10 yrs ago so they opened it that day.. :) had reception aka lunch which i think was even nicer than the vip's hargao and siewmais.. hahaha! after that we had amazing race.. started at lavender to borders to cine to hotel pheonix to forum to taka to donut factory to marina sq to esplanade library to fountain of wealth to st andrews cathedral to boat quay to paradiz to fort canning to far east.. yeah fun sia! pq and amelia saw me running around town.. >.< bet i looked dumb.. anw we came in first!! yay yay yay! ate dinner at bout 10+.. ate old chang kee stuff along the way which was meant to be tea actually.. thanks seniors for being our food and water boys and girls! and we tot it was the end until we went back to changi to find out that we had to eat mealworms! live ones mind you! ours were small la.. just put in and crunch then swallow then drink water! the seniors ones were like FAT JUICY ones.. :S YUCKS!
Day 6:
sentosa! played beach games in the morning.. we won every game except the last one which we had to form and arc then crawl though, burst balloon then walk together with our feets tied together.. then we had lunch and rehearsed our skit a little.. after lunch, the torture began.. we started from the start of siloso beach where the guys had to build a raft and swim to the opposite side and retrieve a flag.. p clan and k clan buddied up and we won x and a clan.. then we rushed to the second station where our clan was the LAST.. cos we had to place a cup filled with water and then with that on the tray, we had to rotate our arms like 360 degrees without dropping the cup.. anw we rushed to make up for lost time and then we were second to leave the 3rd station which was the sandwich making with the various bodyparts passing the food items.. poor vin-ce had to take a bite outa that sandy sandwich (HAHA SAND-wich) cos we kept dropping the items onto the sand.. >.< 4th station we had to fill up a bucket with water using only our tees and mouths etc.. think we were first.. then A clan went the wrong way.. (btw we're at palawan now) we then cheonged to tanjong where they played the arc and then the find the stuff in the sand.. we were the fastest cos we were alr the first then we ran back to palawan to get to the bridge! reached there first! YAY YAY YAY! we won the finale! our sister clan Az-riel came in second.. :) after that we went to clean up and ate dinner.
campfire started at bout 9.. watched videos, the paegent nominees, sang songs, danced around the campfire etc.. quite fun.. performed our skits then we had our cheer fight! apparently we were the loudest and our skit was the funniest but then we cannot win all the prizes rite? :P so we won best clan aka champions (btw we were last for the pool and field games) apparently its like a tradition of k clan.. it happens every yr.. we cheong from the bottom to the top! :) anw we ate up our prize while waiting for the bus to pick us up at 230.. sang songs and we talked bout ourselves and stuff.. :) i love my clan.. slept at 3..
mum came to pick me up at 7+ on sunday.. damn tired la! brought all the stinky dirty clothes home and then i continued to sleep till bout 12? yeahh im THAT tired..
so now its monday and im in my room.. my roomie hasnt moved in yet so i've got a single deluxe room for now..! yippee! so shiok! today's lecture was rather dumb and meaningless.. i paid attention ok! but it was mostly revision and nothing much.. tmr's gonna be organic chem i think on atoms and molecules.. they said the lecturer for tmr is very good.. thats good..
hall bash tonight! cool! hehehe!! :) so i shall go grab some sleep first b4 i go.. nitex!

ok i have finally decided to update something substantial.
chanced upon a fellow STO-MPer who's an ano.. guy too.. rather incredible to see pics of his food.. days in the ward etc.. wonder what seriously drives people to be ano.. the need to be skinny? the ideal shape everyone yearns for?
but in my opinion.. if anyone wants an ED.. i think being ano is better than being bulimic. like seriously. at least when u're being ano, u're just not eating and exercising a hell lot. but being bulimic means youre eating, yet you're gonna barf the entire meal out! firstly, thats a waste of food. secondly, i think it harms too cos of the refluxed acid blah blah blah. corrodes your teeth!!
anw.. i just eat too much. HEHEH. honestly. im G-R-E-E-D-Y! >.< im ok at breakfast. eat alrite for lunch [though it can be a little over-indulgent like murtabak at times] dinner's just a disaster! i mean ok i cut down on rice, eat more dishes and then someone runs out of the kitchen with ice cream! HAHAHA woohoo!! *celebrates*
keeps raining now that i just dont feel like going to the pool though i kinda convinced myself i would go. so i guess i'll just stick to salsa.
speaking of that. did i tell you that there was this superrr good guy who popped by last lesson!! omgomgomg heard raymond say he's some champ. hehe! though im not sure if raymond was sure what he was talking bout.. din hear properly anw.. jaz tot he was my bf.. haha if only i had a bf and what's more a bf who can dance! HAHAH! danced with him for a while b4 the teacher changed partners cos while we were 'enjoying' ourselves, the other newbie pair was kinda screwed up so yeah we had to go lead one each.. hahaha.. hope he pops by again! then at least each of us will have a partner cos obviously there will be less guys.. there are already 2 ladies pretending to be guys.. >.<
anw amazing race on friday was quite fun. it rained and we all did silly unspeakable things too! hahaha! went from rg to marina sq to youthpark to fort canning and then to marina bay. went back to school for dinner. learnt many things bout the people there through the dinner game.. hiak hiak hiak.. some OCD that were rather 0.o yeah
okok im tired. haha. btw i just love high school musical...!! =) dont you just love the soundtracks and everything about it? *awww*

just wanna say congrats to all who have passed math thinking that it was impossible!! :)
its monday and its getting a little boring. been driving around, basically from home to granny's, home to RI, home to office etc. getting the hang of it though my car still tends to keep rather left. somehow i just have a phobia of having cars zoom past my right, its as if they will slam into me anytime!
btw i can collect my photocard license tmr! :) they came today but cos its registered and no one was at home so shall go down tmr. hope its nice!
went for y-ee sharing on sat. was great meeting up with everyone and as usual, our group was the most high among everyone, partly because we had the largest group. 8 turned up cos 1's in NS. it was FREEZING so i wore xi-aomi-ng's jacket. too big for me but better than nothing. :) rebe-cca from run 7 was :S and xm was there to shut her up. rather amusing and we all had a good laugh. hahaha!
hopefully the higher ups will meet with us soon. its either now or next yr considering that prelims are in 6 weeks and As in 12.. a yr and passed and i havent accomplished much. oh well.
sun was spent with cousins. bullied as usual. thats for being the eldest. :( btw van-ya and yi-ngying are keeping their hair longlonglong cos they wanna donate it to make wigs for needy children! soo meaningful! better than shaving botak like they do here.
i realised how ex it is to make a wig.. can range from 1300-3000.. would be great if we can start something like this here. just that we do not have the capital as students rite now to do sth like that. unless we partner with other companies. or even do sth like "three wishes" its just so touching that i cry when i watch.. >.< despite living in singapore, i think there are many out there [local or overseas] who still require our help so let's do our part to help them! YAY!
possible ideas.. im day-dreaming. its not logistically possible.

i think upper sec is easier to teach. was talking to xianw-en and i agree that its rather difficult to teach basic stuff that we alr take for granted. things that seems so simple can be so difficult to them.
i kinda miss r-gs i guess. though it feels funny to not be sitting at my usual desk. >.< though i occasionally wonder over to look for beatr-ice and then we will purposely slack in front of lbt. hahah.
saw a couple of students.. tri-sh and desirene screamed from the 1st floor up to the 3rd while i was talking to mor-ris. and i kinda called back b4 i realised wad i had just done. mor-ris was like 0.o haha! too bad too far away cannot talk.. :( but nvm i shud be back for RHD.. YAY!
sec 2s called out to me in the canteen while we were eating our lunch.. omg jiayou te-ri! you're gonna make a very enthusiastic vice-capt! :) go waddle! still rmb the day you stunned me by blocking my way and asking me to 'bao-bao'.. hehehe! so cute!
am-anda chin ran up to me as i was going to the toilet and girl i really missed her!! jiayou too! for tarbet capt! :)
saw vianne as i was walking down the stairs to the foyer and her out of the library.. couldnt catch wad she was saying though she was ecstatic to see me! sometimes i dont feel very teacher-like but more like going back to see friends and stuff like this.. yeah..
there was this sec 4 girl who came up to me and asked me to give her tuition.. of cos she was one of the students i taught la.. not that random as it sounds.. haha.. she looks a little like angela [art club snr] too bad school's starting and im staying hostel.. thing is.. i tot i heard her ask me to tutor her BIO! like HUH! how does she know that i even took bio?! anw yes it kinda made my day to hear someone actually understanding and liking wad i taught. hehe.
so back to slacking. kakuro is fun but only when i have the hints. :(

saw vianne as i was walking down the stairs to the foyer and her out of the library.. couldnt catch wad she was saying though she was ecstatic to see me! sometimes i dont feel very teacher-like but more like going back to see friends and stuff like this.. yeah..
there was this sec 4 girl who came up to me and asked me to give her tuition.. of cos she was one of the students i taught la.. not that random as it sounds.. haha.. she looks a little like angela [art club snr] too bad school's starting and im staying hostel.. thing is.. i tot i heard her ask me to tutor her BIO! like HUH! how does she know that i even took bio?! anw yes it kinda made my day to hear someone actually understanding and liking wad i taught. hehe.
so back to slacking. kakuro is fun but only when i have the hints. :(

so yes.. i finally get to drive on the road! :)
was quite fun la.. think fastest speed was like 80km/h.. hehe not bad for someone who was crawling at 40-50 only yesterday.. XD
went to giant tamp in the morning.. there werent many cars so it was alrite.. tried parking for the first time w/o the poles.. not bad.. managed to get myself into the lot.. though had to readjust a few times to get it straight.. hehehe!
after that went home [i drove again!] and followed parents to office so that i can try going up the multistorey.. scary! seriously i dont think the crank course was much use.. so different.. ok maybe for tighter ones you really have to turn like siao like the crank course.. i dunno.. :P we'll see..
and i dont like my feet! omg they seriously cant fit into any pair of closed toe shoes..! ok they fit but then i cant walk. my baby toe [poor thing!] will start to hurt like mad and i think its cos im too used to wearing crocs.. i wear them ALMOST everywhere.. so far the only pair that i can wear would be the URS shoes that i've totally worn out.. guess i just need time to squish my toes tgt and everything will be fine!
my feet are alrite in open-toed. in fact there are quite nice i think. >.< but argh closed toed are badddd!
okies shall go off soon.. probably driving to breakfast again.. hehe and then maybe amk.. :) must practice! now that i've the time and opportunity.. hehehe! jiayou!

my tester was really nice.. we chatted along the way and that really made me relax.. secondly he cut short my test too! i didnt do vertical parking and i didnt do u-turn too! everything was like really short.. :) even shorter than dani-al's route 5.. i got 7 which wasnt too bad.. u-turn was at the one b4 the macs u-turn.. but he asked me to turn left into st 61 so yay!
just take route 5 and use ur finger to cover up that entire u-turn path and thats my route! :)
yippee!
off to marine parade for breakfast tmr! everyone siam hor! :P kidding. im not THAT bad if not how to pass? ;)

woke up at 12+.. shiok sia.. :) so tired..
oh yes. i started salsa classes. like 0.o. i know i know.. hahahah! was on impulse.. and it just happened that the class started on the day that i happened to be down at the cc.. muahahahx so i guess its was good! but now it means that i would have to come back from hostel every thursday for my lesson at730.. so ok la.. ill just have to either sleep at home and rush down the next day for lessons or rush down after it to go back to hostel.. hahaha.. nvm its just gonna be for 1 mth cos the course ends in early sept.. yupx!!

so its father's day today.. not rather significant apart from the fact that i actually attempted to make a rather successful oreo cheesecake last nite despite the various hiccups.. XD
1) forgot to buy whipped cream
2) poured sugar into container but forgot to take the spoon out first so now the spoon is buried rite at the bottom of the container
that was even before i started baking but i went down to buy the whipped cream and SP later on so that was fine.. then i started.
3) mum said to whisk using hand so yeah i tried to do that.. but cmon i was making a sponge cake.. how airy can the mixture be with hand?!?!!? so yeah the cake was yummy but heavy. who cares.
4) supposed to whisk whipped cream till creamy.. hahahha cos its originally liquid like milk.. tried whisking by HAND. oh god. luckily mum came back in time to find the machine.
5) tot thats the end? nope.. i overwhisked. >.< became watery again though i had some 'cream' left so like heck la just use.. HAHAHAHAH!!
6) unfortunately, it wasnt the end of the whipped cream episode! while i was trying to dish out the whipped cream in my anger.. i accidentally spilled the liquid cream thingie into the cheese as well as onto the table! so worried that it wouldnt set with all that extra liquid. luckily it did.
7) beat cream cheese with a paddle till creamy. hmm mine was creamy. it was kinda lumpy. hahah but it kinda sorted itself out when i added the gelatine and egg yolk mixture.. still lumpy but who can taste it unless you really go feel the texture when you eat.. ;)
so up till now its alr bout 10pm.. then i finished up the cake and popped it into the fridge. oh yes the sponge cake was the base. heheh. had the cake for breakfast. quite nice. hehe next time try something else. and USE THE MACHINE!
so that was yest nite.. went to BTNR with ruth in the morning.. the NP ppl would make it so we walked around, played at the playground, climbed up the steep hill then headed downtown. went to eat carls jnr for the first time [for me la! i know i know..] then saw the spon-gebob roadshow at PS. OMG SPON-GEBOB WAS CHINESE!! and i tot having an an-gmo one was bad enough.. hahaha! ruth took a pic so we shall see!
went down to z-ouk G-E ra-id party.. cosp-layers were really cool and pretty.. btw ruth i think they prob work for F-HM.. hahahaha!! took some pics with us playing with the sword.. nicenice! upload k? :) after that we redeem our free coke and almost died drinking it. not from poisoning la but rather from bloatedness. went back after that. took 5 all the way home while ruth got off at scotts. i really really really slept all the way. damn tired la..
went shopping today at OG. din buy anything. wanted to buy shoes again cos the previous pair hurt a little. stupid right foot a little bigger than left foot. :S so yeah its shoe shopping again.. din have my size unfortunately but i did buy a 1gb micro sd for my phone! :) yayness to that!

so yes today has come and gone and its almost time to sleep cos of driving tmr morning at 835..
wanted to clean the house but only ended up mopping the 1st floor and washing a fan.. :( hahaha couldnt wake up early cos kinda stayed up last nite talking to pam! omg i think we were [or rather me!] quite high yest.. and morbid as well..
bananas. popped rice. goreng green beans. death. climbing mountains. dying. motivation.
that was just a random selection of what we talking about. random eh? :P
so yes tmr its gonna be driving.. then i guess i shall wash another fan.. attempt to download photos from my cam if i can rmb.. revamp dad's webbie..

im always feeling high at night and have the impulse to blog but whenever i come to this page i feel sian. maybe cos its too troublesome to have to verbalise/pen down my thoughts instead of just thinking through them? or whenever i come here i suddenly feel like i've nothing much to talk about?
anyway.. its been 2 weeks since i've slacked.. and ive not accomplished much.. apart from trying to complete those driving lessons.. i've just watched more movies on dvd and finally baked muffins! haha was trying to bake something with ingredients i already have at home so i found this rather interesting recipe which i alr wondered if i would taste good.. but since i kinda had the ingredients i just gave it a shot. din turn out too bad. at least it was edible. hehhe! and moist.. just not sweet enough and i think there was just too much cheese.
ok so wad did i bake?
apple cheddar muffins. savoury and sweet. erm supposed to be. guess it turned out savoury but not sweet. hehehe!
so the next time im gonna make sth like this.. i think im gonna make apple cinnamon muffins/bread if possible.. though i think bread would be more interesting.. hehehe! cos if im gonna first stew/caramalise the apples with cinnamon i think bread would be more feasible..
supposed to try making strawberry marshmallow cake tmr but then if driving at 1245 so i wouldn be in time for it.. prob wednesday? but i think i MIGHT go back to rg on wed to finish marking those projects.. so now left with asking lbt if he's free on that day.. ok just msged him so i'll see wads his reply.
so if we're going to HK let's go after the 6th! cos my driving test is on the 6th so i can only go after that.. :) i realised how hard it is to organise a BIG group of people cos no one can confirm. guess someone shall have to take charge of this event.. hehehe! guess for now if jessie's gg, the two of us will be the free-est.. let's head to HK!
*edit: ok he's not free and so i shall just go back and mark it all by myself.. faster and more efficient! YAY! :)

well so im sick. didnt start off as normal as it would. hmm.
wad normally happens is this.
1) throat hurts
2) cough
3) runny nose
wad happened this time.
1) body ache
2) fever [at nite only mind you]
3) no appetite
4) dehydrated [a little]
5) throat hurts
if you look at points 1-4, its really like dengue just that it didnt feel like before!
hahahah and now my throat REALLY REALLY hurts. still no appetite but i guess its getting better..
so what have i been up to? sleep sleep and more sleep. haha wad a life.
went out on sat with tyg to aussie fair and library. saw g-oh LK at library and mar-yann as well as ja-son wo-ng too.. hahah! btw ja-son is gg to Duke to do econs under PU-B sship! smartypants.. hahaha! so yeahh sat morn/afternoon was spent like that.
and wads new. tyg was late as usual. this time round, almost 45 min late. cos he overslept. RITE. though i alr wanted to bet with him the day b4 when we were on the phone. HAHAHAH.
sunday was erm starting to fall sick alr so i didnt do much apart from visiting my greatgranny at cgh and then falling asleep rite after that.
monday was just movie marathon in my dad's office. watched taxi, a cinderella's story and something else. argh my memory! :S
went for driving today after almost 5 mth!! haha im so glad im still not as rusty as i tot i would be! :) so yeah i have technically covered all that i need to cover for now. left with the reviews and stuff. hehe!
ok so how do you do parallel parking? this is more for my info than for you to understand. :P
1) position car where curb is almost 1/3 - 1/2 of the bonnet
2) slowly reverse [look out for cars sharing the course!] until the pole in the outer front corner aka pole A touches the third demister line from the top. FULL LOCK LEFT.
3) continue reversing until the base of the back inner pole almost appears in the right mirror and then STRAIGHTEN WHEELS.
4) reverse summore until pole A clears the left mirror and is slowly aligned with the first dot on the wiper. :) the dots depend on the allowance required by the distance from the mirror. use the BIG hole in the wiper if pole is really close to mirror. FULL LOCK RIGHT
5) reverse until u see 1.5 black markers.
6) move forward and adjust the car, making sure its in the middle of the lot and IN the lots by looking at pole B. pole B shouldnt be seen outside the car from the left mirror.
YAY. now we're in the lot. lets get out.
1) inch forward until you see only 3 black markers.
2) put to reverse and FULL LOCK LEFT until you see 1.5 black markers.
3) signal right and then look out for traffic!
4) slowly inch forward and FULL LOCK RIGHT quickly!
5) clear front poles then return and move off.
whee~!

so i had my last lesson with 305 and 206. too bad i couldnt play with 206 like i wanted to as i had to finish up the blasted ws. but 305's lesson. wait wad lesson? hahah! had a mini class party then we took pics but my phone lags so those photos were blur though the ones i took with 206 were clear!
tmr's the last lesson with 303. once again, wad lesson?!
lbt is coming tmr morn so i'll have to tell him wad to expect though seriously i dont think there's much cos i kinda finished up everything that needs to be done this term. :)
dessie poon is mad i tell u! aiyoh tmr she's gonna get it from me la! hahaha! though im kinda overreacting cos it was so awkward! 0.o crazy! haha but still i love her all the same! rock on girl!

these two days have been painful. so will tmr and the day after and the days up till i get it.
the agony. the disappointment. the despair. everything just came crashing.
ok maybe it isnt that serious. i dunno. its kinda hard to put it down in words but those whom i've moped to will definitely understand. just wanna say thanx for being there and trying to make me feel better.
didnt think i would cry. but i really just broke down after i received beat-rice's sms. the ecstacy and the euphoria came through the msg. suddenly i felt like i was alone in this horrible world.
luckily tyg was online yest. thanx for trying to cheer me up. u made me feel myself again. u gave me the confidence to do my best once more. even though you can be a pain sometimes but i think u're still rather special. i think i made you feel rather helpless today with my msgs. but i cant help it. thoughts just ran wild once more. i just felt like at least there was someone who was kinda in the same boat.
and ruth! thanx for trying to comfort me today! yeah though i said that i dont really care but i guess i kinda lied. i do care bout it but really. come wad may. :) so what if the worst happens? i'll just do my best elsewhere! i'll make them regret it! muahahahx!
jem! though i've treated you really bad at times, im really sorry for it. thanx for still being there for me. thanx for believing in me even when i couldnt see the best in myself. thanx for trying your bestest best to make me feel much much much better! things have been rough for us and these two yrs have been quite :S with all the things ive done but ive never regretted knowing you. really. :)

i dont wanna stay at home tmr. i dont want to be disturbed. leave me alone. i just want to go out with someone who will just remain quiet/do their own things and just be there. while i mark my PTs. great. wonder who will be so nice. hah. wait long long.

haiz. i wonder if i did the right thing in telling them if they passed or failed.
some were relieved. some were disappointed. but i felt quite horrible after that.
especially when those who held hopes of passing were told they failed.
but like what kenneth was saying. he wished them to get what they deserved.
thinking back, i guess this test really gave them the marks they deserved for the effort they put in. really.
its like those students who put in the extra effort to understand and clarify did well while those who slacked around, played a fool, slept and din do much to help themselves failed. of cos there are a few who shud have passed but failed but it might have been due to carelessness. need to look through the papers to verify this.
maybe this test can act as a wake up call. its quite true i guess. when u realise that the effort you're putting in really isnt enough to even guarantee you a pass, its time u wake up from that little dream of yours. rgs doesnt guarantee you a safe spot in rjc. the teachers can recommend against you going.
but seriously im quite proud of some students. :) u people really make my day. makes me feel like the effort i put in is worth it. i know some people are like hoping that i'll leave asap [har! me too! no more stress!] because they think that the new teacher would be better. maybe. he's better qualified but hopefully u can connect with him. i cant. sry. at least not at this moment/today when i saw him again.
so yeah tmr we'll see tears. both of joy and happiness. guess i'll just sit there and take it all in and feel sorry for those who tried but didnt make it. tried but tried too late. but just rmb that if you try, you will make it someday. some people take the express train while others walk but sooner or later u'll all reach the same destination. some people take detours and take even longer but yeah u'll make it. as long as u dont fall asleep along the way. if not u'll never make it there.
rmb back in rgs. i was never that bright kid. kinda slacked my life away doing nth apart from sleeping in class. guess i paid my price for it. but i rmb trying really hard to do well for physics b4 Os. mugged my ass off for it and got a decent grade i think. nv had luck with physics. went to jc and took physics AGAIN. -groans- struggled like mad after first three months. last in class. climbed my way up painfully. there were days when i felt like giving up but mr chow's understanding and care [though not ur usual type] made me perservere on. there were teachers that i didnt really like but their indifference to me made me want to prove to them more.
i think studying requires motivation. not motivation from rewards cos it wears off after a while. it comes from within. the want to prove your worth. the need to reassure yourself. the exhilaration when you achieve your goals. the pride that consumes you. its this self-motivation that will go a long way.
when u feel weary and tired and feel as if this is going nowhere. take a break. close your eyes and imagine yourself achieving success. the sounds. the sights. the action. make it as realistic as possible and relive it everytime you feel down. this is the key to success.

well well i have marked bout 10 classes of sec 2s alr! :) overall not bad i guess.. though some had got serious misconceptions with regards to indices.. some give me horrible stuff and thus i cannot give them the ecf mark.. aww.. seriously.. even if u make a slight mistake that doesnt compromise the integrity of the qn or do something that totally shows ur confusion.. u can still get like 3 outta 4 la! 0.o
there was one script with nonsense writing all over. damn emo. suicidal. oh well. think they're gonna show it to her parents but that kid has something gg on too.. :S
anw.. sec 3s.. i think even the geppers are gonna fail.. me-ek li-n marked two gep classes and there were scoring avg marks of 0-3 for 10 marks.. :S but if u paid attn in class u shud be able to do those!! hahaha.. seriously i think this paper is tedious.. and time's prob the problem but if given ample time i think its manageable..
oh well so they found teacher x. :( its gonna be l-im boo-on ta-t.. dunno i found him a little haolian.. saw him once and totally made a fool outta myself cos dia-na didnt give me clear instructions of wad to do back then.. haha was the first interview i handled! but its alrite he prob cant recognise me with my new look.. :P im gonna miss all of them! despite the ups and downs of it.. seriously now i know why they say that teaching is rewarding.. its the kids who remember you later on that makes ur day.. and after all that you dont rmb the shit but the times you spent tgt.. :(

oh well so they found teacher x. :( its gonna be l-im boo-on ta-t.. dunno i found him a little haolian.. saw him once and totally made a fool outta myself cos dia-na didnt give me clear instructions of wad to do back then.. haha was the first interview i handled! but its alrite he prob cant recognise me with my new look.. :P im gonna miss all of them! despite the ups and downs of it.. seriously now i know why they say that teaching is rewarding.. its the kids who remember you later on that makes ur day.. and after all that you dont rmb the shit but the times you spent tgt.. :(
so its just gonna be the last two weeks tgt. hai.
and it has to be spent on teaching log/exp graphs and coordinate geometry! and fractional indices and indical eqns for sec 2s.. bah.
brace myself for monday and next wk! cos lbt might sit in for the lessons to get a hang of the class etc.. hahah! hope he doesnt die of a heart attack when he finds out he's getting a humanities class.. :P

so i went out the whole day today. :)
went to vivo crystal jade for granny's bdae lunch! apparently the bill was 900+.. not fantastic either.. really i think it was quite a waste of money. food's so-so nth fantastic.. then we had goodwood park durian cake! yum! hehe that was really nice.. though they said the puffs are better.. nonetheless i ate two slices!
wanted to buy a pair of boots but it costs 219.. :( the one on offer didnt haf heels and it wasnt as nice.. but my aunt bought it so i can always share with her.. it was the last pair!! size 37! hehe.. it was 129 btw..
so after that mum and i went to orchard to look at those shoes again.. cos mum insists that there should be a better bargain somewhere else other than the boutique. hehe so we went to OG first. mum wanted to buy a pair but as usual she didnt. i ended up buying a pair of sunglasses. :) now i look poser? MUAHAHAHX! went over to centrepoint.. then taka to look at the shoes.. din haf.. so we went to kino to look at beading books.. wahlau damn ex! ok maybe thats the avg price but 40+ is a bit too much for beginner books.. decided to check out the prices at the bead stores first.. :) so as we went over to wisma.. we stopped by the face shop and as expected i bought stuff.. muahahahax..
why am i not surprised that i always end up buying stuff when im out shopping with my mum? previous time was the wallet. now the glasses and stuff. HAHA.
tmr's gonna be the test day! i mean for my hair that is. i feel like wearing a cap to school first. hehe. cos its gonna be a HEADTURNER at the busstop. which means i can only gel my hair in school. well we'll see how it goes tmr. :S

now i dont dare to go to school on monday. its freaking red! trust me. its supposed to be spikey too. hahaha! totally dont look like me liao. dad says i look like an ah lian. -.- hahaha!! rite now for spm. i wonder how the parents will react. ouch. but i like it. yes i do. :P
but then again nvm cos by the time spm comes its only 2 more days of work! so even if they wanna fire me its alrite cos im gone alr. hehe.
and im so sorry ruth! i knew there was sth on today but i couldnt rmb! was asking my mum yest wad are we doing tmr aka today. then she was like nth la. whoops! so i happily tot there was nth until i received ur call! okok i promise we'll go for OpNR!! :)

tues was spent rushing out assignments and FA and marking PTs.. bz bz..
wed and thurs had staff mtg and stayed back on thurs to mark PT though i actually fell asleep after school! gosh i think my seat makes me sleepy at times.. then out comes the handy dand ipod!
fri had invigilation and remedial.. plz remind me to pay me-ek l-in 3.95 for the turkey ham sub plz! :) gosh im bushed. but today went well i think. YAY YAY! =D

Everyone feels despondent at times and you are no exception. You are feeling so depressed because it seems that everything that could go wrong has gone wrong and you don't quite know which way to turn. So like the proverbial ostrich you are trying to bury your head in the sand. But that won't work - you have to face reality.
You are very talented, imaginative and sensitive but you are holding back as you do not really like going it 'on your own'. In preference you would like to team up with someone, someone with similar attributes as your own, to explore - to seek out and go perhaps 'where no other man has trod before'. It is the unusual that attracts you and which will give you a sense of excitement and adventure.
Everyone, sooner or later gets that feeling that one has been cut off from reality, cut off from everything that's going on around them. It usually happens when there is a complete lack of understanding and co-operation - be it from friends, family or loved ones. So what can one do about it? Instead of pondering as to what the future may hold, do something different. Make a cup of coffee. Have a shower. Read a book. Watch your favourite soap opera. Because as soon as you become involved in something different, the original disassociated feelings will dissipate.
You are trying to prove yourself - not only to yourself but also to everyone around you. There is much that you would like to say and do but the situation warrants self-restraint and that is the last thing that you have on your mind. It would seem that you have an unsatisfied need to ally yourself with others whose standards are as high as your own. You want to be different - to stand out from the crowd. This is subjecting you to considerable stress but you tend to stick to your attitudes despite lack of appreciation. Of course, you are finding the situation uncomfortable and would like nothing better but to break away from it but you don't like the idea of compromise. Your main problem is that you are unable to resolve the situation because you continually postpone making the necessary decisions. You feel that if you make the wrong choice this would lead to such opposition that you would not be able to command the esteem of others. It is essential that those around you are prepared to comply with your wishes.
The need for admiration and to be regarded as 'someone special' is perhaps one of the foremost aims in your life at this time. im feeling pissed. helpless. angry. anything that fits that kinda feeling.
this is going to be a mopey post.
dunno. sometimes i feel like im being stretched to fullest and anymore requests from them i think i will break. the expectations, the feedback, the everything about it. everytime i walk in i feel stressed facing everyone. most are nice. some are alrite. some give me the i-dont-care look. and it makes me feel like giving them the i-dont-care-either look. if they arent helping themselves, there's not much i can do for you too.

its different being on different sides of the table. i miss being on the other side now. no worries. just listen and absorb. i feel squeezed now. best part is when i ask if anyone does not understand, no one raises their hands. wow if you all want personal attn, at least raise your freaking heavy hand? im not telepathic u know? the people arnd u might be able to help you if they understand and get the correct answer but if those around you are like cmi oso, please dont ask them! u'll confuse them and it makes life worse.
dont care if my students will ever read this post. if they can find my blog in the first place. well if they do please tell ur wonderful classmates what im feeling. its not easy ok. u've gotta understand that im already trying my best so i expect the minimum from you all too. if you arent going to put in the effort, i dont see why i should help you too. rite? it has to work from both sides.
and i really appreciate those who are trying their best to help themselves! :) love you guys! at least this way i wont feel so tired cos i know that im not helping people who arent even helping themselves.
but then again its some of these people who rant on and on and dont do anything.
im so not gg for SPM. seriously. bet their oh-so-concerned mothers would be waiting to kill me. HAH. neh neh. complain only if u've raised the issue with me and i've not done anything bout it ok. dont just blabber on and on cos i've asked you for your opinions and no one said anything either.

Two 90 year old men, Mike and Joe, have been friends all of their lives. When it's clear that Joe is dying, Mike visits him every day.
One day Mike says, "Joe, we both loved football all our lives and we played minor league football together for so many years. Please do me one favour; when you get to Heaven, somehow, you must let me know if there's football there."
Joe looks up at Mike from his death bed," Mike, you've been my best friend for many years. If it's at all possible, I'll do this favour for you." Shortly after that, Joe passes on.
At midnight a couple of nights later, Mike is awakened from a sound sleep by a blinding flash of white light and a voice calling out to him:"Mike, Mike."
"Who is it, asks Mike sitting up suddenly. "Who is it?"
"Mike, it's me, Joe."
"You're not Joe. Joe just died."
"I'm telling you, it's me, Joe," insists the voice.
"Joe! Where are you?"
"In heaven", replies Joe. "I have some really good news and a little bad news."
"Tell me the good news first," says Mike.
"The good news," Joe says," is that there's football in heaven. Better yet, all of our old friends who died before us are here, too. Better than that, we're all young again. Better still, it's always springtime and it never rains or snows. And best of all, we can play football all we want and we never get tired."
"That's fantastic," says Mike. "It's beyond my wildest dreams! So what's the bad news?

my hand aches after ironing my clothes!
now waiting for the water to heat up so i can go bathe. haha.
been bz with the YEE proposal.. hopefully it works! look out for it in aug if its successful.. :)
was really tired today! was kinda stoned during sec 2 prep today. argh. luckily it was only a short one. hah! so i stayed back in skool till 530 cos i was too lazy to go home by myself so i waited for my mum to come pick me up.
went to ri to wait for bro but he ended really late so we waited really long.. like 1 h.. wth.. was entertaining myself by watching the bballers play. their coach is quite cute. HAH. my mum thinks so too. :) ANW.. fell asleep after a while cos i was sooo tired. i need to bring a pillow to skool.
brian n. just told me that there's this article bout the poly student's chopping board. haven seen the article but they said the compartments seem similar to ours!! HMPH. oh well. shall go to skool and see it tmr! hahaha. anyone saw it too?

so its thursday.. this week has gone by really quickly.. LJW is almost over which means that its back to the same routine teaching schedule again.. :( i think im gonna die teaching log and quadratic after functions.. at least i think tts the schedule.. if they cannot do surds how to do log etc?! someone save me.. i really need a miracle here..
so we've started talking again after a lull of 4 mths? wow tts a long long time.. but then i think at the end of the day things wont turn out the way the way it could have been.. haha can be very tiring though i get spurred on to do things at times.. cos __'s better than me so i guess i feel motivated? muahahahax.. sometimes must really thank __ for knocking me outta my delusion and stop me from wallowing in despair.. can be so direct it hurts but guess i need it at times..
so work starts at 1 tmr.. which means i can sleep in! hopefully i didnt read the schedule wrongly or else very paiseh if kena called up in the morn to be told that im on duty! whoops.. :S haha but dun think so la.. cos sec 2 fo-rum is in the afternoon..
oh n i just spent 35 bucks on retractable earphones.. damn n i din even intend to buy it.. mum said "why dont u buy one.. if not u haf to keep winding.." haha but then its mum's money for now.. cos i told her tt she told me to buy.. i din want to buy.. :)
oh n i got like 700 bucks for getting my A level grades from my grandma + aunt.. thats like 2x my angbao money! best part was they gave me when we went down to celebrate bro's bdae.. so my angbao was bigger than his! muahahax!!
oh yes did i mention my business is growing? i've like 10+ ppl below me! yay!! and i think im gonna invest money too.. we'll see how things go.. :) its gonna be US$1000 for now..
reading rich dad poor dad now.. and i think i wanna be rich enough with passive income coming in so that i can retire b4 the age of 30! actually my aim was 25 but then i think i shall tell ppl 30 cos 25 would seem ridiculous to ppl..

so its another update after a week..
i guess things are looking up a little.. :)
finally applied for nus so now just looking at wad to apply at ntu.. wait n see i guess..
reliefed at scgc pri yest.. quite different from rgs..
1) u can HEAR the national anthem being sung
2) they are very playful
went to NEWater today.. interesting.. felt quite proud to be singaporean really.. haha like all our technology and stuff.. hmm :)
gg to kusu island tmr! i heard its quite fun.. just hope i dont puke on the junk! muahahahx.. -crosses fingers-
been really bz this week.. still haven finished marking sec 2 SA cos im too lazy.. whoops.. i mean busy.. :P seem to be sleep deprived.. arghh..
well well so i guess now im like stoning away chatting with my student getting feedback and stuff.. haha do i really enjoy teaching? guess i'll only know after 1 more term.. hahaha..
got a really weird phone call just now from **.. hahha but it was rather amusing.. like hello u just called to remind me im on duty tmr? :) haha so funny! but yeah quite touched la.. haha summore my name is not on the same sheet as ** so i wonder how ** found out im on duty.. prob checked inet la.. haha!

i just realised how detached i am from the outside world.
just a floating soul without any attachment anywhere.
hah. guess it makes it easy for me to uproot and move elsewhere since i dont think i'll miss much here anyway.
today mum asked me "u're not close to your frenz one hor?"
glad you realised.
im alrite with everyone but i dont think im exceptionally close to anyone. like even if the entire world around me got wiped off i probably can still survive rather well.
so much for the cliche no man's an island.
thats true. just that the only other things on my island are probably just some passing seagulls that happen to land once in a while. migratory birds too. people who pop in and out of my life ever so periodically.
maybe its just cos i dont really have much in common with the others. i mean i dont fancy shopping a lot unless i suddenly have that impulse to. and then i will unleash hell upon the world. neither do i like talking on the phone. so that leaves me with sms and msn. the last person i spoke to on the phone apart from family is pialeong. then as far as i can rmb it would be enos. and that was quite a long time ago. oh wait i think ruth was in between but that was for marks.
so yeah that goes to show how colourful a social life i have.
no wonder i love the tv.
my only thing im really close too would be my bed and soft toys. really. i think they are my lovers. :)
lets see. do i talk to shps ppl? not really. rgs? rarely. vjc? sometimes. others? sometimes.
guess the only constant person who pops in regularly would be brian nguyen. HAH.
its only been 3 mths. what would it be like in 3 yrs? 30 yrs?
only gods knows.
feeling isolated now. really badly. just need someone but there's no one out there. except my bright yellow bolster. just gonna hug him to sleep i guess.
maybe someday i will change. somehow i will talk to people more.

dammit im really really sick..
been coughing for the past 2 weeks plus a sorethroat prob from the non-stop coughing and fever.. arghh..
thanx to all who helped me to relief my classes!!! got mc for today too so xi-anwen is helping me to take over the entire day.. thank god che-wml is back today so that xi-anwen can take my entire day..
and cos im sick it means i cannot go to st james with the others!! bleahhhh how cool izzit tt the maths teachers are gg clubbing..! hahaha oh well hopefully they will go again soon and by then i am well! :) muahahahax..
so now im stuck with the secthree pts plans to assess.. i dont like pt.. hmph its so confusing..
anw i better be better by monday if not i cannot go bring the art club ppl out..! and then shun bian bring home all the SAs to mark.. kabish..
my holidays are goneee.. btw did i mention tt i feel harrassed by the NE-A ppl? i mean i know i still haven submitted my form by calling me up everyday doesnt make me feel up faster in my state! horrid.

so its wednesday!!
carn wait for friday.. a bit the impatient liao la.. :P though i think the minutes b4 getting my results would be heart stopping.. haha.. back to the o level results day again i guess.. :S
tmr's a slack day.. invigilating 3 SAs.. 2 maths 1 history for chri-stl.. then only teach twosix.. yeahh so i can finally try to preserve my voice.. so thurs will be over really really quickly..!
mrs b-an sat in today.. i think she finally realises how many questions they ask.. hahah! yeah its really beyond ur imagination.. the qns are like non-stop n from the start to the end.. even dragged until their form teacher came in for CLE!!! felt a bit bad to take up his time but the class was like "nvm nvm its cle!!" -.- haha how wonderful.
n i just confirmed with my students tt lpl has like a legion of girls with a crush on him! muahahahx!! tts quite amusing in my opinion.. :P but yalar he's quite nice i guess..
shall go watch my angels of mission now!
